We adopted Sadie from Heartland when she was 10 mos. old. She is now 11 years old and the joy of our lives. She is very much loved and we treasure every minute of every day we have with her. Love her to pieces.

We are so proud of our baby girl Taylor. It broke our hearts to learn how she had been abandoned by her previous owners before HGRR rescue. She was so shy, incredibly scared and totally not trusting humans we feared we’d never be able to train her safely off lead even in a contained environment. Her first night in her new home we lite a fire in the fireplace and picked her up and laid her next to mommy on the sofa. It was obvious she’d never been in a home before. Well… needless to say she’s come a long way baby. We need to credit Pauline, she’s truly a genius match maker. She told us Taylor was a good girl and all she needed was a lot of TLC and be a great companion for Pete, also a HGRR alumni. She was so right. Although Taylor’s still shy and scared of her own shadow it’s been rewarding and heart warming to observe Taylor grow into her own special, sweet personally and learn to live a happy, loving, and spoiled life. She’s now able to approach our visitors and neighbors on the street with confidence and enjoyment. She plays and loves her big bro Pete. She swims in our “aka” her swimming pool, gleefully jumps out of the pool to roll in the grassy yard with such ecstasy we wish we could do it. Taylor has been our little miracle. Thank you Pauline for “your” miracle work.
We call him Sweet Pete. He came into our lives in 2005 at 18 months. Pete fell in love with his older sis, Cleo and big bro, Okie and quickly became the baby love of the family. He was devastated when they passed so close together. For Pete’s six birthday we adopted a little sister, Taylor, also a HGRR Alumni. They love each other and we could not imagine life without them. Pete’s is clearly the smartest, loving, and funniest companion. He served for 2 years as a working therapy dog, comforting the children after the tragic New Town, CT, shooting. We are thrilled to report he turned 14, Jan 21, 2017, and still has incredible energy and loves swimming in our pool. Thank you Pauline for finding our perfect match.

Bentley came into my life just after I lost Latte. He was often know as Big Bad Boy Bentley or the Brat. He was an escape artist and given the slightest chance he was gone with me in hot pursuit in my van – the only way I was able to catch him. At the Bridge November 2017 Pauline
Pandora was the Grande Dame, the Matriarch of our household from December 99 to March 2015. She was 9 years old when we adopted her and we had 5 plus wonderful years with her.
Never to be forgotten –
still miss you Andy Pandy
Pauline
I only had Latte briefly, a few short months. She was my foster whom I was planning on adopting but her medical issues were causing her many problems and much distress, her quality of life was gone and so I let her go to the Bridge.
Pauline
Bridgette was a wonderful girl turned into rescue because her owners wanted to use her son to breed and then they could keep a puppy!!! Sadly I only had Bridgette for 3 years, it was not long enough.

My first rescue Golden, back in the 90’s. One of the sweetest, most laid back Goldens you would ever meet. Every new Golden that came through the door she was there to greet them and show them the ropes.

Not your typical Golden. Ellie had a mind of her own and was a girl of many personalities. She could be a bull in a china shop; an” I wish to be alone girl”; “I don’t like little dogs they scare me – get rid of them !” We loved her, though she was hard to live with at times.
